We firmly believe in constant practice in order to perfect our craft – but that doesn’t always mean sitting down at the piano and practicing scales.  Doing research, watching tutorials, and seeing interviews from successful musicians are most certainly great techniques as well.  This particular interview is from esteemed composer Hans Zimmer.  He’s one of our favorite film composers, mainly because of his mixture of traditional orchestral music and modern electronic sounds.  In this interview he talks about a variety of things, including his growing up and studying in London during the years of David Bowie and the Sex Pistols, his love for the orchestra and why we need to preserve it for coming generations, and how he gears certain pieces that he writes for specific musicians to perform or record.  Enjoy!
